I recently watched a YouTube video from Amber Spiegel of SweetAmbs (now I must admit to complete & utter admiration for this talented lady). Anyway back to the video, it was on turning cookies into edible flowers & using them as table decorations – isn’t that just great to be able to eat the table decorations!

February 2016: 15th Canal Walk wedding cake competition
A Cake Story took part in a fabulous cake competition held at Canal Walk, Cape Town, over the weekend of 19 – 21 February 2016. There were 15 cake creators in total, each entering a beautiful creation. This was our first competition so we were pretty excited – unfortunately we did not get placed but we certainly learned a lot from the experience.

August 2015: The Pretty Blog – Berry bold bridesmaid inspirations
We are proud to have been involved in this unique photo-shoot arranged by Kusjka du Plessis of KDP Photography and hosted by Gelukkie, Paternoster. We were very excited when it was published by The Pretty Blog under the title: Berry Bold Bridesmaid Inspirations. We had such fun coming up with delicious goodies such as rooibos infused milk-tart, honey-bush toffee lollies, condense milk cookies and a very South African koeksister wedding cake! The little succulents are made of fondant – don’t they look realistic.
